Do you have to know the food on the menu to work in that place?

Your employer will probably not teach you the menu explicitly, but you will pick up on it very quickly (because you will be dealing with it so often.) A little extra research won't hurt, but they're not going to hire you just because you don't have the combo meals memorized already.
