Hearing loss at a young age?

I'm 15. I play piccolo and I know it damaged my hearing, (I've been using ear plugs now), but I was wondering, if I can detect a slight loss in my hearing now, will I have severe hearing loss later on? And would going to an audiologist help me now? I'm a musician, and I cannot lose my hearing. And will I (eventually) need cochlear implants, and will they help?
