Help me piccolo players!!! D:?

So I've been playing flute since fourth grade, and I'm in eighth grade now. I just got a piccolo and I'm going to switch over. The thing is, I need to know how to play by the time high school comes along, and also, my spring concert is coming up and I need to play well enough (on the piccolo) to be able to play the piccolo in it. I need tips that are sure to work, and that will work fast. Thank you guys!!!
