What should I eat for breakfast?
I think it is a question of personal preference but I would advise eating something beforehand so you have lots of energy to do the workout properly. I personally cannot leave the house to do anything without breakfast. I would suggest that a smoothie might be too much liquid before a workout and could make you feel bloated. Eggs on toast would be a good start. Definitely do not eat junk food such as pop tarts. You would probably enjoy a real fruit smoothie afterwards. I personally do not usually feel hungry after a workout. Good luck with your venture into getting fit.
