Hullo, I want to learn how to play either the piccolo or the clarinet?

I already play the tin whistle (go me) well, and I'm not afraid of slightly different fingerings. A.) Which one would be best suited to me? B.) Which one sounds nicer? I'm actually more inclined towards the clarinet at the moment, what do you think? If you wouldn't mind helping me a little... Thanks. :)
