Itunes deleted my music?

I had songs on my ipod that i wanted to transfer into my itunes library ans a thing popped up ans said "you need to transfer your songs into library, if you d not click transfer your songs will be deleted." So i clicked transfer but the f**king thing deleted all my music anyways!!!!!!!! what do I do?
